Ginero Solutions Ltd developed a 3D Volumetric X-Ray system. This system could have from 3 to 5 X-Ray sources (X-ray heads) which will emit through the studying body on one or several digital X-ray detectors. Several Algorithms were developed. The developed algorithms are permitting to build precise volumetric image of the studying body or to build slices of the studying body as in a CT machine.
The system allows having volumetric X-ray of the patient in real time during the surgery. The determination of each parameter is done with very high accuracy – to the hundreds of the millimeter. The surgeon will be able to see the surgical tools in relation to the body parts in real time. This task was not ever performed the dose of radiation received by the patient is reduced on the level of 20 times comparable with computer tomographic machine.
The method permits to use specially built x-ray machines or use several existing machines in the surgery room, for example can be used existing surgical C-arm X-ray machine and 2 or more of mobile X-ray machines and one additional digital X-ray detector.
The system has powerful small sized computer(s) based on video processors. This computer is able to process vast amounts of data, create required images and to send an output to the imaging system of the surgical room as well as to the normal channels of medical information
